Accessibility & support

Accessibility & support.

GROUNDED Experiences are built to be warm, trauma-informed and flexible. If you have access needs, sensory preferences, or a neurodivergent way of processing, I will do my best to make the space work for you.

How I accommodate

Practical ways I can meet you where you are.

Physical access

I choose venues with step-free entry, accessible toilets and space for mobility aids wherever possible. If your building or team has specific requirements, let me know in advance and I will work with you to make the room comfortable.

Sensory environment

GROUNDED Experiences are designed to be calm rather than overstimulating. Lighting is soft and natural where available, sound levels are kept moderate, and there are no flashing visuals. Fidget tools, movement breaks and a quiet corner are always welcome.

Neurodivergence-friendly pacing

Information is offered in short, plain-language chunks with visual anchors and plenty of processing time. You will never be put on the spot, and there is always more than one way to join in — verbally, in writing, through movement, or simply by listening.

Choice and privacy

Everything is invitational, not compulsory. You choose your level of sharing, proximity to others, and how deeply you engage with any practice. Growers may pause or step out; personal disclosure is never required.

Live virtual delivery

Virtual GROUNDED™ Experiences are still being developed and piloted. Growers and organisations are welcome to discuss access or communication needs with Amanda so the platform, breaks and possible adjustments can be considered as virtual delivery develops.

Communication needs

If you or a team member uses BSL, lip-reading, communication cards, or needs written materials in advance, please tell me when you book. We can discuss what adjustments are possible before confirming arrangements.

My commitments

Accessibility is part of the work, not an afterthought.

Ask, don't assume

The best way to support someone is to ask what they need. I welcome questions before, during and after an Experience, and I will never make assumptions about what a person can or cannot do.

Flexibility as standard

Breaks, seating, lighting, pace and group size can all be adapted. Accessibility is not an add-on; it is part of how I plan every session.

Further support

If a GROUNDED Experience brings up a need for ongoing support, the therapy referrals page offers direct contact with Amanda about individual therapy and links to independent directories. Therapy is separate from GROUNDED™, which is not therapy or crisis support and does not arrange clinical referrals.

Using this website

You can navigate using a keyboard and enlarge text using your browser settings. If a page or PDF is difficult to access, email Amanda to request an alternative format. We welcome reports of access difficulties; this is not a claim of independently certified accessibility compliance.

Tell me what you need

A conversation about what you need.

If you are considering an Experience for yourself, your team or your organisation and you are unsure whether the space will suit your needs, please get in touch. We can discuss the room, the pacing, the materials and any support that would help you feel grounded enough to take part.
